“Got Nutrition ?” is a non-profit organization dedicated to bring youth and parents together to advance their knowledge and the application of nutrition for the sake of healthy lifestyles. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the youth and promote parental involvement in their nutritional knowledge.
Nutrition has a huge impact on youths lives and learning to eat right can greatly change how they view their bodies, how they feel, and what they are able to accomplish. “Got Nutrition?” provides a variety of nutrition teaching and assistance to youth and parents. Our instruction will help the families meet any nutritional goals. With an active parent involvement, we will be able to engage more with the youth and effectively put into practice the new skills that they acquire.
Our organization stands firmly against unhealthy eating habits while enforcing exciting new ways to stop these habits. By teaching the right nutritional choices and affordable ating , we believe that health is just a bite away. As “Got Nutrition?” always says: eat well, live well, spend well, and be well!
“Got Nutrition?” was founded by four key leaders in the summer of 2009. They first established the organization as an information center for the city of Chicago. The idea to start a nutrition organization came from the key leaders observations on the minority neighborhoods of Chicago. They viewed how the area in which youth live in, the experiences that they have, and the messages they receive from their neighborhoods affect their overall health choices and the way that they view health. Many of Chicago 's minority neighborhoods lack access to supermarkets that carry a variety of fresh produce. The educational system for those neighborhoods lack...

The training and experience that each of the key leaders in “Got Nutrition?” has makes it the most effective organization to be specialized in the teaching of youth and parents of Chicago 's minority neighborhoods. The key leaders invest most of their free time in devotion to searching for teachers and assistants that will help carry out their program. The high standards that our leaders seek are very competitive as we search for high profiles in scientific knowledge and training. With the extensive training that our teacher will receive, they will be highly prepared in making a positive change in the youth of Chicago. Together , we will help change the lives of many youth that will be the next leaders of our society.
